“Though I had the privilege of living abroad, my heart has always remained deeply rooted in Punjab. Giving back to the community and contributing to its progress has long been a personal mission. I have always believed that my experience and skills could create the greatest impact here—by advancing the agri-food processing sector and creating employment opportunities for rural youth.

By relinquishing my Canadian citizenship, I made a conscious and resolute choice to dedicate myself fully to this vision. Choosing commitment over comfort was not easy—surrendering the citizenship of a developed nation like Canada came with its challenges. Yet, the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to my home state’s growth, especially in food processing and agri-business, far outweighed personal convenience.

I understood the magnitude of this sacrifice, but the chance to take on a leadership role that directly betters the lives of people in Punjab was far more compelling. I firmly believe that true leadership demands sacrifice—and I am fully committed to using my knowledge, experience, and energy to bring transformative changes to Punjab’s food processing landscape.”
